Arena Nightclub is not only one of the biggest and most well known gay clubs in West Hollywood and Los Angeles, it’s one of the biggest and most well known clubs and nightlife destinations period. There are different events every night of the week it seems, and the crowd is always packed with revelers taking in the classic warehouse club style atmosphere in the sprawling interior.
There are two floors within Arena Nightclub, and all told there are some 22,000 square feet of interior space. That makes the club absolutely massive in size, and puts it into the classification of those mega clubs, and the traditional warehouse style clubs that have always been popular. There are eight bars, two smoking patios, large projection screens, laser lights all over the place, a crazy-bumping stereo system and more. Arena Nightclub is also the sister nightclub to Circus Disco, although considering the clientele it might be more aptly named the brother club to that nightspot.
It’s no secret that Arena Nightclub is a gay nightclub, but it doesn’t mean that others don’t go to check out and enjoy the scene. There are plenty of single ladies there as well, both to revel in the different atmosphere and go somewhere where perhaps they can escape some of the more aggressive tendencies of males in other clubs.
In terms of music, it can be pretty eclectic and versatile at Arena Nightclub in West Hollywood. Some nights are more focused on hip hop and reggae, while others are on salsa, techno, 80s classics, and so forth. So there’s something for everyone no matter what kind of music or dancing scene you’re into.
The different weekly events include Delicious Wednesdays, The Groove on Thursday, Hollywood Live on Friday and Boyz Night on Saturday. There are also many other special events routinely on the calendar, as well as other themed nights throughout the week.
The events differ from one another in terms of what kind of music is played, what the crowd is like, and more. So, for example, on Delicious Wednesdays it’s 18+ and the second floor has all Latin music, and on The Groove on Thursdays, everyone gets free admission before 9:30 pm and everyone 21+ gets in free all night. Hollywood Live on Friday Night is all about dressing your best and looking to impress, and there’s a mix of hip hop R&B and top 40s tunes.
Arena Nightclub has a well deserved reputation as one of the most popular, biggest and most fun night clubs in West Hollywood and the entire Los Angeles area.
